The Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) was the regular form of Holy Mass until after the Second Vatican Council when there was a revision of the Mass. The TLM continues to be offered in various places around the world including here in Hahnville. 

On July 16, 2021, Pope Francis issued a Motu Propio, Traditionis custodes, making some changes to the current law of the church regarding the Traditional Latin Mass. We have received permission from Archbishop Aymond to continue to offer this Mass here. Our Traditional Latin Mass schedule is:

• Our daily Latin Mass is usually a Low Mass which means that the priest does not sing any part of the Mass. There can be hymns sung or organ music played.
• Our Sunday Mass is usually a High Mass which means that the priest is not assisted by a deacon or a subdeacom, but he and the cantor/choir sing the parts of the Mass proper to them. Incense can also be used.
• A Solemn High Mass is a Mass in which a deacon and subdeacon assist. We have yet to offer this type of Mass.
